Registration for YEAR #2 of the Splash & Dash is NOW OPEN!
The Splash & Dash is a race very unique to our area. The “dash” is a 5K run that starts and finishes adjacent to the Boathouse Paddle Club, and will run throughout the community of WaterColor, primarily on its beautifully-groomed trails. The “splash” is a 2.5K standup paddleboard (SUP) race that will take place on Western Lake, and finish directly underneath the iconic WaterColor bridge. Participants will have the option to participate in the Run ONLY; the SUP Race ONLY; or a COMBINED EVENT consisting of the 5K Run + 2.5K Paddle Race. This is truly a unique format with three different categories to choose from - the first race of its kind on 30A!
5K TRAIL RUN. The 5K trail run is run entirely on the well-groomed (and mostly shaded!) trail system within the community of WaterColor. The course starts and finishes adjacent Cerulean Park. A truly beautiful course. The 5K trail run is a stand-alone event.
2.5K SUP RACE. The 2.5K SUP takes place exclusively on Western Lake. It commences at the dock adjacent the WaterColor Boathouse, and loosely follows the shore of WaterColor to the 30A bridge. After paddlers cross under the bridge, they continue to the western portion of Western Lake. At the turnaround point, paddlers reverse course and complete the SUP race at the WaterColor pedestrian bridge. Scenery truly doesn’t get much prettier than this! The 2.5K SUP race is also a stand-alone event. In case you're womdering, 2.5K is ~1.55 miles.
NOTE: For the Paddle Race, participants may bring their own recreational style board (12’ and under) or rent a board from the BoatHouse Paddle Club for use during the race. To reserve a board, please email your contact information (name, phone number and number of boards) to info@runsup.com. To reiterate, if you do bring your own board, it MUST be "recreational style" 12' and under.

6:45: Pre-race
7:00: 5K Trail Run Start
8:15: 2.5K SUP Race Start
9:30: Awards Ceremony
Men’s and women’s winners and runner ups for the 5K run, the SUP race, and the run/SUP combo race will receive awards. All registered participants who cross the finish line of their respective race will also receive a finisher's award. And, of course, all registered participants will be receiving the always cool Splash and Dash race shirt!

If you want to run, but the registration fee will truly set you back due to personal financial hardship, please know that a few registrations have been set aside for such situations.
